DTK Condos is located at 60 Frederick Street, at the corner of Duke and Frederick Streets in Downtown Kitchener. At 39-storeys, it is currently the tallest constructed building in Waterloo Region.
The building offers 494 residential units, 230 parking stalls, and 10,500 ft² of leasable commercial space on the ground floor. Several amenity spaces have been provided for residents including meeting rooms, a fitness center, a yoga room, a party room, and a roof top terrace space with a barbeque, lounge seating and a dog run.
The building was constructed on the former site of the Trinity United Church, which stood on the site from 1906 until 2017. In order to pay respect to the history of the site, a number of reclaimed materials from the original church have been integrated into the building.
The Architecture of the building reflects a contemporary aesthetic that contributes to the downtown core’s rich architectural diversity, complementing adjacent listed buildings and ensuring a distinct but cohesive identity from the existing built fabric.
