This project was completed under the Certificate of Practice issued to Michael Spaziani Architect Inc., prior to their merging with SRM Architects Inc.
Completed Fall of 2021, this project involved finalizing the Site Plan Approval process (initially started by SMV Architects), and developing the working drawings for this new Seniors Residence set in the historical Guildwood neighbourhood, near the Scarborough Bluffs.
This 5 Storey, 172 unit home includes a dedicated Memory Care wing, ground floor Amenities, and a Health and wellness Centre complete with Salt Water Pool.This unique home, will set new standards for Retirement Homes in the City of Toronto, complete with it's mid-century modern inspired designed, and biophilic interior design philosophy Guildwood truly does provide a cohesive connection to the extensive local history.
This project placed 3rd in the International Category for the 2023 Senior Housing News Architectural & Design Awards.
