This project involves the addition of 108 beds to this existing 84 bed Long Term Care Home, as well as bringing the existing facilities up to current Ministry of Long-Term Care standards.
There will be two 3-storey additions on either side of the building, with a combined gross floor area of 39,500 ft², which will provide an additional 13 beds in each new wing resulting in 32 beds per RHA. Six of the existing beds will be renovated to create the connection to the new wings.
A new 3rd storey expansion on the existing 2-storey Long Term Care will be approximately 27,500 ft².
The centre portion of the existing LTC will be renovated to facilitate the creation of a larger dining room needed to accommodate the additional residents.
